Orleans Poker Room Phone Number

At long last, The Orleans poker room is back to being open around the clock, as of Friday, October 9. For the first time since the pre-coronavirus days, you can play cards at the off-Strip property at any time of day.

Poker Room South Point Hotel and Casino has a 24 hour non-smoking poker room. South Point Poker Room offers all of the most popular poker games and a variety of betting limits. Games featured are $3-6, $4-8, $6-12 Limit Texas Hold'em and $1-2, $2-3, $3-5 blind No-Limit Texas Hold'em games. Mixed Games, Stud and Omaha also spread upon request.

Orleans

The Orleans boasts one of the top and largest poker rooms in Las Vegas. With 35 card tables, the card room has a game for just about anyone — at least if you’re a low to mid stakes player. Most games spread in this often packed poker room are low stakes. Occasionally you’ll find some $5-$10 and above games as well.

  1. The poker room boasts more than 20 poker tables, offering several exciting varieties of poker that are suited to the recreational poker players and seasoned veterans. As of 2015, Harrah's New Orleans is a non-smoking establishment, but guests can play their favorite slots in the outdoor, climate controlled, smoking and gaming courtyards.
  2. The Orleans Poker Room. The Orleans poker room was the second to open on June 4, 2020 in Las Vegas after the COVID-19 closure. It started out four-handed on the first day but quickly went to five seats per table after state regulatory approval. It later added partitions that allowed it to deal to six players per cash game.
  3. I think this is the Orleans poker room from the picture, but I am not certain. Friday 7pm $130 tournament for NL Holdem is great. It draws a large player pool, so decent money if you win. Cashgames are pretty good too. Big selection of games. Minus one star for no phone charger on the tournament tables. Maybe on a Friday.
  4. Currently The Venetian Poker Room is open daily from 9:00 a.m. Starting Friday September 18th, the Poker Room will remain open until 3:00 a.m. In an effort to provide our guests with a poker experience they know and love in a safe environment, The Venetian Poker Room will begin offering eight-handed cash game play on Friday.

Mark your calendars poker players! 📆

We are going ALL-IN at The Orleans Poker Room with operations moving back to 24 hours a day starting this Friday, October 9! We will open at 8am on Friday morning then be open around the clock going forward. pic.twitter.com/76BaqjxiA2

Another draw to the casino for poker players is that it’s located away from the Strip, but not too far . The Orleans is about one mile west of the Strip. Some players who don’t want to deal with the hassle of the crowded Strip enjoy playing at more removed casinos like Orleans.

You won’t just find cash games at The Orleans. There are two daily tournaments beginning at 11 am ($100 buy-in) and 7 pm ($150 buy-in). On Friday nights, the 7 pm tournament costs $130 to enter and has long been one of the most popular weekly tournaments in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas poker is rebounding nicely

In mid-March, every casino in Las Vegas was forced to close down until June 4. That led many to believe the live poker scene in Sin City was dead. That didn’t turn out to be the case.

During that reopening weekend, only four poker rooms returned to action, one was The Orleans. But that number has grown drastically over the past few months and is now up to 18 open poker rooms. There are still 13 closed card rooms in town, but the live poker scene has rebounded despite the global health pandemic that doesn’t seem to want to go away.

The Orleans initially reopened on June 4 with restrictions set at four-handed play. But the Nevada Gaming Control Board (GCB) has since permitted the card room to spread seven-handed games. Face masks are required during play. That goes for every Las Vegas poker room.

One drawback for non-smokers is that The Orleans poker room is rather smoky. So, if you prefer playing in a card room that doesn’t have a strong stench of cigarette smoke, there are many other options. That includes Aria, Bellagio, Venetian, and Wynn, all Strip properties considered among the best poker rooms in the world, and not just Las Vegas.

If you’re trying to avoid the craziness of the Strip and a heavy cigarette stench (smoking is banned in every poker room but often lingers throughout the casino), Red Rock Resort in Summerlin has a lively poker room that’s mostly enclosed.

Room Upgrade Reports

01/22/2013

I’m a Bconnected member at the Orleans and always get comp rooms. The first time I got a comp, the room sucked, their normal rooms are not very nice, tube TV’s, several have bad views, smoke smell. I inquired about an upgrade and was told 100/night. Decided not to since I wasn’t going to be spending that much time in the room. The first slot machine I played hit for $2300.00 so I immediately went to the front desk and upgraded. The suites at the Orleans are VERY nice, almost like being in a different hotel. The next time I returned since I knew the suites were so nice, I decided to try the sandwich. Waited in line and noticed one pretty young lady who was particularly nice and seemed happy, faked a phone call to let folks in front of me go to another clerk, did a 40 sandwich, complimented her attitude, innocently flirted then told her I was tired, there for business and needed a quiet room and floor, she lit up and gave me the upgrade. Weekday about 12:30 pm

I’ve stayed at the Orleans about 7 times and they’ve never upgraded me with or without the $20 tip. Try your luck somewhere else! 🙂

I offered the sandwich with a $20 to the pleasant clerk. I asked for any available upgrades (with a smile, of course) She took the sandwich, said thank you, but there were no upgrades available at this time and gave the 20 back. She was very nice about it. I am sure that they were very full as it was President’s Day weekend and many had Monday off. There was also a slot tournament scheduled there for that week.

While checking in, grinned sort of goofily and asked, “I got SO lost coming here (from Downtown); I ended up on 95 going I don’t know where. Idon’t suppose there’s any chance of an upgrade?”.
She responded, “This is your lucky day – we’re upgrading ALL our one-night guests to suites!”.

But I did tip after the fact, in gratitude – just not TO get the upgrade.

Tipped: $50 Upgraded to Same Room - High Floor Strip View from Standard 2 Queens

Tried getting a suite at the Orleans for a four night stay from a Thurs to Mon. Hotel wasn’t that busy so I figured our chances we’re 50/50. Tried to better my odds by using a $50 instead of a $20. Clerk was a girl in her late 20’s. I gave her my credit card and ID and asked her if any comp. suite upgrades were available. I told her that her generosity would not go un-noticed as I tapped a $50 bill on the counter in front of her. She knew what I was up to and asked a manager. Came back and said the best she could do was $100 extra per night for the suite. I declined and got a regular standard room. The standard rooms are fairly nice for the Orleans and I didn’t figure the suite was worth an additional $400.

Husband jokingly said, “I know you’re very busy and booked pretty tight, but is there any chance I could bribe you for an upgrade?” The front desk clerk just said politely that she could check and see what the cost would be for an upgrade. My husband told her no thanks, that our room would be fine. She told him that there is always an extra charge for any type of upgrade. She said they don’t do complimentary upgrades.
She was nice about it, and did give us a room on the 10th floor with a strip view.

Tipped: $20 Upgraded to Nothing from Standard 2 Queen

Got 2 rooms with staggard checking on the 9th and 11th.. I did the $20 process asked for a suite upgrade.. was told it would be anothe $100 a night.. I passed.. the girL KEPT THE $20!!.. I thought wow.. nice job.. (sic) I did not say anything.. Got to the room after a long all day flight.. it smelled like a 30 year old cigar had just been put out.. I requested a non-smoking room change, got it of course.. the beds are hard as rocks, we could not sleep.. only rested.. by the end of a week, we were so tired that the trip was basically a waste..
Everywhere you go there, it’s expensive.. the buffet was average at best, service was genneraly terrible..

Poker room was full of $$ backed local pros waiting in prey for the green visitor.. though I did alright, it was hard…

My post is consistant with the others.. I did have a talk with the asst manager about this before I departed She was very supportive and waived some fees for the trouble..

Tipped: $40 Upgraded tofrom 2 deluxe standard rooms

Got there about 1:30PM. Check-in line was about half an hour long. Handed 2 twenties between driver’s license and credit card and asked if complimentary upgrades were available for the rooms. Clerk didn’t even check and said our suites are all booked up. Clerk handed back the twenties.
