Table Of Contents
There will be two partypoker Pros gunning for the victory in the Caribbean Poker Party Super High Roller when the final table resumes on partypoker this evening.
Both American Isaac Haxton and Britain's Sam Trickett are present at the final table of seven in the largest buy-in event of the festival.
Haxton joined partypoker's roster of professionals and ambassadors two years ago, with Trickett joining in November 2016.
Surprise winners are part and parcel of major poker tournaments, but they tend to be rarer in High Roller events. If a seasoned commentator had looked at the line-up for the final 12 of the €10,000 High Roller event in Barcelona today - a field including Andrew Lichtenberger, Jonathan Duhamel, ElkY, Tobias Reinkemeier and Alex Bilokur - it would have taken a brave bettor to ignore them. The $5,250 buy-in Battle of Malta High Roller Championship saw 495 players take to the GGPoker felt and created a $2,475,000 prize pool, almost half a million dollars more than the advertised $2. The $2m GTD tournament attracted 84 entries with the winner walking away with over $585,000.
